In July 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection, which included the work Portrait Of A Lady by Jean-Baptiste Perronneau. The result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 34,280.23) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Baptiste Perronneau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a Lady, half length, wearing a pink dress with a lace border, holding a mask, which sold at auction in October 2001 for USD 76,375.00 (€ 84,927.17).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady von Jean-Baptiste Perronneau zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 34.280,23) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Perronneau mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a Lady, half length, wearing a pink dress with a lace border, holding a mask beobachtet, die im Oktober 2001 für USD 76.375,00 (€ 84.927,17) versteigert wurde.
