Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait D'Une Pensionnaire Du Roi En Costume De Théâtre, Tenant Un Loup by Jean-Baptiste Perronneau was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 22,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Baptiste Perronneau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a Lady, half length, wearing a pink dress with a lace border, holding a mask, which sold at auction in October 2001 for USD 76,375.00 (€ 84,927.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait D'Une Pensionnaire Du Roi En Costume De Théâtre, Tenant Un Loup von Jean-Baptiste Perronneau kam im Juni 2015 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 22.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Perronneau mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a Lady, half length, wearing a pink dress with a lace border, holding a mask beobachtet, die im Oktober 2001 für USD 76.375,00 (€ 84.927,17) versteigert wurde.
