Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work A Lady Seated In A Garden; A Lady Wearing A Hat, Promenading In A Landscape by Jean-Baptiste Hilaire for USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,419.61). This price was achieved in the auction Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house.
