Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Fugue XLVII) by Jean-Baptiste Bernadet was sold in the First Open | Online auction at Christies in London in September 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,694.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jean-Baptiste Bernadet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Fugue - Screen I) in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 86,500.00 (€ 121,963.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Fugue XLVII) von Jean-Baptiste Bernadet wurde im September 2019 in der Auktion First Open | Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.694,29) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Bernadet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Fugue - Screen I) im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 86.500,00 (€ 121.963,91).
