Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January 2020. In the Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna auction, the work Saint Jerome, after Raphael sold for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,551.43) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait de la comtesse de La Rue in February 2009 with an auction result of EUR 2,081,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres erzielte im Januar 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna wurde die Arbeit Saint Jerome, after Raphael für USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.551,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait de la comtesse de La Rue im Februar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.081.000,00.
