Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Princess Louise Murat by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna auction at Christies in New York in January 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 112,500.00 (€ 101,415.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait de la comtesse de La Rue in February 2009 with an auction result of EUR 2,081,000.00.

Die Arbeit Portrait of Princess Louise Murat von Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres wurde im Januar 2020 in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 101.415,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
