Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Christ Delivering The Keys To St. Peter by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2015. The price achieved of GBP 122,500.00 (€ 166,349.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait de la comtesse de La Rue in February 2009 with an auction result of EUR 2,081,000.00.

Die Arbeit Christ Delivering The Keys To St. Peter von Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres kam im Dezember 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 122.500,00 (€ 166.349,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait de la comtesse de La Rue im Februar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.081.000,00.
