In January 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna, which included the work A nude woman holding up a jug by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres. The »bidding war« ended at USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,395.20), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait de la comtesse de La Rue in February 2009 with an auction result of EUR 2,081,000.00.

Im Januar 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna durch, in der auch die Arbeit A nude woman holding up a jug von Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.395,20) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait de la comtesse de La Rue im Februar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.081.000,00.
