The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,710.00 (€ 10,374.89), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean (Hans) Arp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Déméter in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,825,000.00 (€ 5,144,396.36).

Die Arbeit Oval Working Plan von Jean (Hans) Arp wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Works on Paper Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.710,00 (€ 10.374,89) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean (Hans) Arp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Déméter im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.825.000,00 (€ 5.144.396,36).
