In November 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale, which included this untitled work by Javier Marín. The auction ended at the price of USD 20,000.00 (€ 15,342.13), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Javier Marín have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Torso de hombre amarillo in September this year with an auction result of USD 100,800.00 (€ 95,238.10).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2010 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Javier Marín zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 15.342,13) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Javier Marín auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Torso de hombre amarillo im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 95.238,10).
