Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Javier Marín could be acquired at Christies in New York in November 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin American Sale auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 24,375.00 (€ 18,698.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Javier Marín have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Torso de hombre amarillo in September this year with an auction result of USD 100,800.00 (€ 95,238.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Javier Marín konnte im November 2010 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin American Sale wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 24.375,00 (€ 18.698,22) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Javier Marín auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Torso de hombre amarillo im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 95.238,10).
