Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Javier Marín was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,465.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Javier Marín have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Torso de hombre amarillo in September this year with an auction result of USD 100,800.00 (€ 95,238.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Javier Marín kam im November 2010 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 12.465,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Javier Marín auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Torso de hombre amarillo im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 95.238,10).
