Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hombrecito 12 by Javier Marín was sold in the Latin American Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2010. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,383.25). Admittedly, works by Javier Marín have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Torso de hombre amarillo in September this year with an auction result of USD 100,800.00 (€ 95,238.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hombrecito 12 von Javier Marín wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Latin American Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.383,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Javier Marín auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Torso de hombre amarillo im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 95.238,10).
