It achieved a price of USD 6,930.00 (€ 6,382.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jasper Francis Cropsey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indian Summer On The Susquehanna in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 432,500.00 (€ 384,923.46).

Die Arbeit O'er the Hills and Far Away von Jasper Francis Cropsey wurde im Januar diesen Jahres in der Auktion 19th Century American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.930,00 (€ 6.382,39) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%.
