Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,641.74). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jasper Francis Cropsey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indian Summer On The Susquehanna in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 432,500.00 (€ 384,923.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Cattle in a River Landscape von Jasper Francis Cropsey wurde im Januar diesen Jahres in der Auktion 19th Century American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.040,00 (€ 4.641,74) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jasper Francis Cropsey erzielen.
