Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Down Under by Jason Rhoades for GBP 345,000.00 (€ 392,801.54). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Evening Auction at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 350,000.00 – 550,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jason Rhoades - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Three-Wheel Waggon-Wheel Chandelier, which sold at auction in November this year for USD 1,008,000.00 (€ 924,092.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Down Under von Jason Rhoades für GBP 345.000,00 (€ 392.801,54) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 350.000,00 – 550.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jason Rhoades mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Three-Wheel Waggon-Wheel Chandelier beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für USD 1.008.000,00 (€ 924.092,41) versteigert wurde.
