Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work He Drowned in Her Eyes as She Called Him to Follow by Janaina Tschäpe for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,309.81). This price was achieved in the auction Post War and Contemporary Art 1990 To Now at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Janaina Tschäpe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Square Soap Bubbles in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 76,926.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit He Drowned in Her Eyes as She Called Him to Follow von Janaina Tschäpe für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.309,81) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art 1990 To Now bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Janaina Tschäpe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Square Soap Bubbles im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 76.926,72).
