Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Early Afternoon by Janaina Tschäpe. The price achieved of USD 40,000.00 (€ 34,275.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Janaina Tschäpe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Square Soap Bubbles, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 76,926.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Early Afternoon von Janaina Tschäpe zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 34.275,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Janaina Tschäpe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Square Soap Bubbles beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 76.926,72) versteigert wurde.
