This artwork by Jan Wildens achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December this year. In the Old Masters Part II: Paintings, Sculpture, Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work River landscape with a carriage transporting passengers and a ferry crossing sold for GBP 88,200.00 (€ 101,603.02) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Wildens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Panoramic view of the city of Antwerp across the River Scheldt in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 425,000.00 (€ 474,762.88).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Wildens erzielte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Part II: Paintings, Sculpture, Drawings and Watercolours wurde die Arbeit River landscape with a carriage transporting passengers and a ferry crossing für GBP 88.200,00 (€ 101.603,02) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Wildens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Panoramic view of the city of Antwerp across the River Scheldt im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 425.000,00 (€ 474.762,88).
