Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2016 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work A wooded landscape by Jan Wildens. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 93,750.00 (€ 109,608.96), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jan Wildens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Panoramic view of the city of Antwerp across the River Scheldt in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 425,000.00 (€ 474,762.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A wooded landscape von Jan Wildens zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 109.608,96) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Wildens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Panoramic view of the city of Antwerp across the River Scheldt im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 425.000,00 (€ 474.762,88).
