In June 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work Leydshendam: a view of the Delftsekade, Leidschendam by Jan Weissenbruch. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 51,900.00 48% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Weissenbruch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bomschuiten at sea on a cloudy day, which sold at auction in April 2001 for NLG 345,000.00 (€ 158,348.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 48 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Leydshendam: a view of the Delftsekade, Leidschendam von Jan Weissenbruch zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 51.900,00 und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Weissenbruch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bomschuiten at sea on a cloudy day beobachtet, die im April 2001 für NLG 345.000,00 (€ 158.348,55) versteigert wurde.
