Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 57,600.00 (€ 44,314.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Victors - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ruth And Naomi, which sold at auction in June 2015 for USD 187,500.00 (€ 168,101.13).
