Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Family In A Park Landscape, Attended By Their Dalmatian by Jan Verkolje the Elder was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2016. The price achieved of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,767.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Other works by Jan Verkolje the Elder have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2011 the work A Portrait Of Two Sisters And Their Brother Playing With A Dog was auctioned for GBP 31,250.00 (€ 37,426.29).
