Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters, 19th Century and Impressionist Art, which included the work A wooded river landscape with a traveller crossing a stone bridge near an oak tree and a farm house by Jan van Kessel. The price achieved of EUR 6,875.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van Kessel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses, Morning-Glory, A Carnation, An Iris And Other Flowers In A Porcelain Vase, With A Red Admiral, Caterpillars, Dragonflies And Other Insects In A Sculpted Niche; And Roses, An Iris, A Carnation, A Tulip And Other Flowers In A Porcelain Vase, Wit in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 578,500.00 (€ 695,
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters, 19th Century and Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A wooded river landscape with a traveller crossing a stone bridge near an oak tree and a farm house von Jan van Kessel zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roses, Morning-Glory, A Carnation, An Iris And Other Flowers In A Porcelain Vase, With A Red Admiral, Caterpillars, Dragonflies And Other Insects In A Sculpted Niche; And Roses, An Iris, A Carnation, A Tulip And Other Flowers In A Porcelain Vase, Wit im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 578.500,00 (€ 695.845,78).
