Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Travellers on a riverside path by Jan van Kessel was sold in the The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part IV auction at Christies in New York in May 2015. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 2,750.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van Kessel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses, Morning-Glory, A Carnation, An Iris And Other Flowers In A Porcelain Vase, With A Red Admiral, Caterpillars, Dragonflies And Other Insects In A Sculpted Niche; And Roses, An Iris, A Carnation, A Tulip And Other Flowers In A Porcelain Vase, Wit in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 578,500.00 (€ 695,
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roses, Morning-Glory, A Carnation, An Iris And Other Flowers In A Porcelain Vase, With A Red Admiral, Caterpillars, Dragonflies And Other Insects In A Sculpted Niche; And Roses, An Iris, A Carnation, A Tulip And Other Flowers In A Porcelain Vase, Wit im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 578.500,00 (€ 695.845,78).
