In February 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work A still life with white and pink flowers in a vase by Jan van Herwijnen. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,314.50 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van Herwijnen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Baboe in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 27,400.00.

Im Februar 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit A still life with white and pink flowers in a vase von Jan van Herwijnen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.314,50 und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan van Herwijnen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Baboe im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.400,00.
