This artwork by Jan van Herwijnen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2004. In the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work A still life with a jug, a bottle and pears sold for EUR 1,673.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van Herwijnen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Baboe in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 27,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan van Herwijnen erzielte im Juni 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS wurde die Arbeit A still life with a jug, a bottle and pears für EUR 1.673,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan van Herwijnen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Baboe im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.400,00.
