Admittedly, works by Jan van Bijlert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of a young boy, full-length, in an embroidered yellow dress and white lace collar and cuffs, a cane in his left hand, proferring a biscuit to a dog begging on a table, before a red curtain in January 2007 with an auction result of GBP 131,200.00 (€ 197,950.70).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 29.287,72) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan van Bijlert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of a young boy, full-length, in an embroidered yellow dress and white lace collar and cuffs, a cane in his left hand, proferring a biscuit to a dog begging on a table, before a red curtain im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 131.200,00 (€ 197.950,70).
