In May last year Sothebys in London held the auction Modern Art Online including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso, which included the work An Interesting story by Jan Sluijters. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,410.00 (€ 5,187.95), 47% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Sluijters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maannacht III in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 421,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern Art Online including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Interesting story von Jan Sluijters zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.410,00 (€ 5.187,95) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Sluijters erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maannacht III im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 421.000,00.
