Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 12,600.00 (€ 11,132.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Sluijters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maannacht III in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 421,000.00.
