In June 2003 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art, which included this untitled work by Jan Roëde. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,824.00 27% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Roëde - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aparte werkelijkheid II, which sold at auction in June 2004 for EUR 10,755.00.

Im Juni 2003 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jan Roëde zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.824,00 und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Roëde mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aparte werkelijkheid II beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für EUR 10.755,00 versteigert wurde.
