Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 5,040.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Roëde - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aparte werkelijkheid II, which sold at auction in June 2004 for EUR 10,755.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Christmas eve von Jan Roëde kam im Januar 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 5.040,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Roëde mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aparte werkelijkheid II beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für EUR 10.755,00 versteigert wurde.
