Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bridge over the river Seine by Jan Rijlaarsdam was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,560.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jan Rijlaarsdam have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Flowergirl in June 2001 with an auction result of NLG 18,800.00 (€ 9,036.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bridge over the river Seine von Jan Rijlaarsdam kam im Januar 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.560,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Rijlaarsdam auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Flowergirl im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 18.800,00 (€ 9.036,16).
