Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Früchtestillleben. by Jan Mortel was sold in the Fine Art auction at VAN HAM in Cologne in June 2021. The price achieved of EUR 5,805.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Mortel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peaches, plums, apricots, grapes, pears, blackberries, sheafs of corn, chestnuts, walnuts, medlars, cherries and a pomegranate with a snail, a butterfly, a grasshopper and a caterpillar by a plinth in December 2005 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 174,173.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Früchtestillleben. von Jan Mortel wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Fine Art bei VAN HAM in Köln versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.805,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Mortel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peaches, plums, apricots, grapes, pears, blackberries, sheafs of corn, chestnuts, walnuts, medlars, cherries and a pomegranate with a snail, a butterfly, a grasshopper and a caterpillar by a plinth im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 120.000,00 (€ 174.173,28).
