Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jan Mortel could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2024 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Paintings and Sculpture: Part II auction, the work A bouquet of peonies, tulips, roses and other flowers on a ledge, with butterflies, a snail and a beetle changed hands for USD 63,000.00 (€ 55,060.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00.
