A top price for Jan Mortel - as previously expected
The work Peaches, plums, apricots, grapes, pears, blackberries, sheafs of corn, chestnuts, walnuts, medlars, cherries and a pomegranate with a snail, a butterfly, a grasshopper and a caterpillar by a plinth by Jan Mortel was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2005. The auction ended at the price of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 174,173.28), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Peaches, plums, apricots, grapes, pears, blackberries, sheafs of corn, chestnuts, walnuts, medlars, cherries and a pomegranate with a snail, a butterfly, a grasshopper and a caterpillar by a plinth is the most expensive artwork by Jan Mortel that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Peaches, plums, apricots, grapes, pears, blackberries, sheafs of corn, chestnuts, walnuts, medlars, cherries and a pomegranate with a snail, a butterfly, a grasshopper and a caterpillar by a plinth von Jan Mortel kam im Dezember 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 120.000,00 (€ 174.173,28) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Peaches, plums, apricots, grapes, pears, blackberries, sheafs of corn, chestnuts, walnuts, medlars, cherries and a pomegranate with a snail, a butterfly, a grasshopper and a caterpillar by a plinth das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jan Mortel, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
