This artwork by Jan Miel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2018. In the Old Masters Day Sale auction, the work Figures feasting at a fair in Prati, outside the walls of Rome, with the Basilica di San Pietro and Monte Mario beyond sold for GBP 162,500.00 (€ 182,198.23) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jan Miel; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ceres, Bacchus And Venus ('Sine Cerere Et Baccho Friget Venus') sold at auction in May 2016 with the realized price of USD 394,000.00 (€ 353,839.25).

In der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Figures feasting at a fair in Prati, outside the walls of Rome, with the Basilica di San Pietro and Monte Mario beyond für GBP 162.500,00 (€ 182.198,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jan Miel; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Ceres, Bacchus And Venus ('Sine Cerere Et Baccho Friget Venus') im Mai 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 394.000,00 (€ 353.839,25).
