Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Group Of Merry-Making Peasants Dancing And Playing Music by Jan Miel was sold in the Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners auction at Sothebys in London in September 2019. It achieved a price of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,168.10), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Miel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ceres, Bacchus And Venus ('Sine Cerere Et Baccho Friget Venus') in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 394,000.00 (€ 353,839.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
