Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figures On The Ice Near A 'Koek En Zopie' by Jan Michiel Ruyten was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in October 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,360.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jan Michiel Ruyten have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bustling city life around the Vleeshal, Antwerp in October 2003 with an auction result of EUR 22,705.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figures On The Ice Near A 'Koek En Zopie' von Jan Michiel Ruyten kam im Oktober 2006 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.360,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Michiel Ruyten auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bustling city life around the Vleeshal, Antwerp im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 22.705,00.
