Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A view on the quay of the Schelde with the pilotage, Antwerp by Jan Michiel Ruyten was sold in the Old Masters and 19th Century Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2011. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,375.00 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Michiel Ruyten - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bustling city life around the Vleeshal, Antwerp, which sold at auction in October 2003 for EUR 22,705.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A view on the quay of the Schelde with the pilotage, Antwerp von Jan Michiel Ruyten wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.375,00 und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Michiel Ruyten mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bustling city life around the Vleeshal, Antwerp beobachtet, die im Oktober 2003 für EUR 22.705,00 versteigert wurde.
