Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2010 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art, which included the work A coastal inlet with figures and a horse before a tower, a ferry beyond by Jan Michiel Ruyten. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,074.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Michiel Ruyten have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bustling city life around the Vleeshal, Antwerp in October 2003 with an auction result of EUR 22,705.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A coastal inlet with figures and a horse before a tower, a ferry beyond von Jan Michiel Ruyten zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.074,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Michiel Ruyten auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bustling city life around the Vleeshal, Antwerp im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 22.705,00.
