The price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 30,557.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Lievens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Tronie: Study Of The Head And Shoulders Of An Old Bearded Man, Wearing A Cap in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 2,505,250.00 (€ 3,012,280.86).
