Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work Head of a bearded man by Jan Lievens. The price achieved of GBP 375,000.00 (€ 439,765.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Lievens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Tronie: Study Of The Head And Shoulders Of An Old Bearded Man, Wearing A Cap in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 2,505,250.00 (€ 3,012,280.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Head of a bearded man von Jan Lievens zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 375.000,00 (€ 439.765,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Lievens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Tronie: Study Of The Head And Shoulders Of An Old Bearded Man, Wearing A Cap im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.505.250,00 (€ 3.012.280,86).
