Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Sothebys in London held the auction Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries, which included the work A family with two children on the move by Jan Lievens. The price achieved of GBP 11,970.00 (€ 14,294.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Lievens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Tronie: Study Of The Head And Shoulders Of An Old Bearded Man, Wearing A Cap in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 2,505,250.00 (€ 3,012,280.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries durch, in der auch die Arbeit A family with two children on the move von Jan Lievens zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.970,00 (€ 14.294,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Lievens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Tronie: Study Of The Head And Shoulders Of An Old Bearded Man, Wearing A Cap im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.505.250,00 (€ 3.012.280,86).
