Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A boat on a lake with waterlillies by Jan Knikker Jun. was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of NLG 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of NLG 1,527.50 (€ 707.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Knikker Jun. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work By the waterside, which sold at auction in June 2002 for EUR 1,912.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A boat on a lake with waterlillies von Jan Knikker Jun. kam im März 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von NLG 1.527,50 (€ 707,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Knikker Jun. mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit By the waterside beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für EUR 1.912,00 versteigert wurde.
