Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Dutch wood Gatherers On A Snowy Path by Jan Jacob Spohler. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,614.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Jacob Spohler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A winter landscape with numerous skaters on a frozen waterway, Dordrecht in the distance in April 2006 with an auction result of EUR 156,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dutch wood Gatherers On A Snowy Path von Jan Jacob Spohler zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.614,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Jacob Spohler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A winter landscape with numerous skaters on a frozen waterway, Dordrecht in the distance im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 156.000,00.
