Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work A Mountainous River Landscape With Figures And Boats, As Well As Castles In The Distance by Jan Griffier the Elder for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,817.65). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Griffier the Elder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A winter landscape with figures ice skating, a village and castle beyond in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 252,000.00 (€ 295,522.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Mountainous River Landscape With Figures And Boats, As Well As Castles In The Distance von Jan Griffier the Elder für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.817,65) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Master Paintings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00.
