Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Stll Life Of Peaches, Grapes And Plums On A Stone Ledge With A Bird And Butterfly by Jan Frans van Dael was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,954.34). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Frans van Dael achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nature Morte Aux Bouquets Dans Un Niche in May last year with an auction result of EUR 529,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Stll Life Of Peaches, Grapes And Plums On A Stone Ledge With A Bird And Butterfly von Jan Frans van Dael im Juni 2017 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.954,34) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Frans van Dael erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nature Morte Aux Bouquets Dans Un Niche im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 529.200,00.
