Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 314,500.00 (€ 248,263.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Frans van Dael - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nature Morte Aux Bouquets Dans Un Niche, which sold at auction in May last year for EUR 529,200.00.
