Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 66,480.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Frans van Bloemen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Scene In The Roman Campagna With A Capriccio View Of Tivoli And A Bolt Of Lightning, which sold at auction in January 2016 for USD 274,000.00 (€ 252,954.21).
