Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Italianate Landscape With Two Women Conversing With A Shepherd, A Castle Beyond; And An Italianate Landscape With Women Conversing On A Path By A Brook, A Lake And Mountain Beyond by Jan Frans van Bloemen was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 66,480.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Frans van Bloemen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Scene In The Roman Campagna With A Capriccio View Of Tivoli And A Bolt Of Lightning, which sold at auction in January 2016 for USD 274,000.00 (€ 252,954.21).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 66.480,92) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00.
